Peter is the Managing Partner of Louisa Voice that focuses on delivering next-generation voice services to small and medium enterprises.
Peter's first exposure to SIP was in 2005 where he lead the SIP trunk interoperability testing between a next-generation voice carrier and Nortel's carrier voice product for a cable company. In 2010, Peter was asked to do an telecommunications analysis for a non-profit organization and make recommendations for upgrading their phone system. The end-result was an open source telephony solution with SIP trunking to the voice network that exceeded expectations in functionality while lowering monthly telecommunications costs. After 30 years working for Nortel and Avaya in a variety of technical and management positions, Peter decided to focus full-time on growing Louisa Voice.
When not working on the business, you can often find Peter running from his home in Waldwick, New Jersey to the Celery Farm and back, cycling, hiking the many trails along the lower Hudson River, exploring New York City, or enjoying the family cottage. Every few years Peter unwinds completely by doing an extended multi-day bicycle trip.
Peter holds Bachelor and Master Computer Science degrees from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and an MBA from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
